1. What are the system requirements for the ColorTake 6630?
A 486 or higher IBM compatible computer with windows 95 or Windows 3.1x with installed. A display card supporting at least 16 bit high color with a compatible monitor.At least 50 MB of free hard disk and 8 MB of available RAM, more will be required depending on your software application and image resolution.
   
2. What does it mean when the ready light is off and the error light is on?
This is an indication that there has been an interface error. It means that the scanner is not properly connected to the computer, or the interface setup is wrong. Please recheck the interface connection and setting and reset the entire PC system.properly connected to the computer, or the interface setup is wrong. 3. Why doesn't the scanner software work properly?
Firstly, make sure that you have selected the SPP/Normal, standard printer port setting in your BIOS menu. Check the connection with computer and power source. Check the 12V power connection between ADF(Automatic Document Feeder) and scanner. Verify that either ColorTake 6630-32 (32 bit driver for Windows 95) or ColorTake 6630-16(16 bit driver for Windows 3.1X) version 1.5 is installed properly. Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements specified by the software program, such as operating system and memory. Be sure that your software application supports TWIN interface and that you have installed and setup the software correctly.
   
4. Why is my image distorted or blurred?
Make sure that the document does not shifted while scanning. Check to see if the document is wrinkled or warped in the area that does not look clear.
   
5. Why is my image so dark? And color so different to original?
Try adjusting the brightness setting in scanner driver for darkness. Also, contrast and gamma correction setting will effect the display color.
   
6. How can I get my image to look more like the original?
Please try different combinations of image settings using the scanner driver to see which settings match the original image the best.
   
7. Why am I getting garbage or no print out at all when I try printing the scanned image?
Check that your printer is properly connected and installed on your computer. Make sure the software settings are correctly installed and setup for your printer.
   
8. The scanning speed is too slow.
Make sure resolution of the scanner is not set too high, normal 150-300 dpi will be good enough for everyday use.
   
9. The system shows the "Scanner not found" error message.
Please check whether that the scanner is properly connected to the computer and power adapter is also connected. Force the scanner to run at SPP (Standard Print Port) mode in your BIOS setup.
   
10. May I use ColorTake 6630 under OS2 system? Windows NT?
Sorry, we don't have OS2 or NT driver yet. It will be upgraded in the future.
   
11. Why am I getting unclear photo image in my screen?
Please set the display mode to High Color (16 bits) or True Color (24 bits), instead of 256 Color.
