11 Can I deploy two or more wireless keyboards in the office or same area ?
1. If wireless keyboard has two or more channels available, just switch to different channel for each keyboard. If only two channel available and more than three keyboards are deployed in same place, keyboard with same channel had better be away from effective range at least to ensure no interference by each other.
  2. Single channel keyboard with different ID assigned. Although keyboard with different ID will avoid getting signal from other keyboard but due to all keyboards use same channel, so interference could be caused by each other. Actually, wireless keyboard with different ID will be always received by all receivers (if they are same models), but the receiving data will be ignored if ID is different. So the sequence is that receiver gets all data first then check if ID corresponds with receiver. The problem is that received data may lose or not smooth on busy receiver action when getting data with same ID and ignoring data with different ID. Different ID can only ensure that keyboard data you typed won't come out on other people's screen.
12 If wireless mouse or keyboard does not work, please refer to following steps to check yourself:
1. The most of our new models for wireless keyboard and mouse should have Out Of Box pairing(OOB) system, which means wireless keyboard and wireless mouse have been ready in order to pair automatically. So all you need to do is power on your computer, install receiver to the PC and battery to keyboard/mouse, then pairing will be done automatically. You can refer to Quick Installation Guide for further information.
  2. If OOB failed to get connection automatically between receiver and keyboard/mouse by unknown reason, please refer to Quick Installation Guide for the part of ID Pairing to do pairing by manual.
  3. Make sure battery power is full or just change brand new battery to replace and install battery with correct polarity.
  4. Check your Device Manager to see if USB receiver can be recognized well by system. It could be out of order or USB timing incompatible problem if it shows "Unknown Device". If this is case, please tell us the serial number and back to the retailer you bought for replacement or RMA.
13 Does your wireless keyboard support rechargeable batteries?
Rechargeable batteries can be used with wireless keyboard, but usage time will be very short ranging from a few days to outmost 2 weeks. The reason why we do not recommend using rechargable batteries is mainly because of 3 usability concerns because:
  A. - Short usage time
Rechargeable batteries can perhaps recharge up 1.2V ~ 1.3V, therefore 2x rechargeable batteries give maximum <2.6V operating voltage , compared to alkaline batteries 3V. The keyboard have build-in battery protection that the alkaline battery is not drained to the point the battery will leak, typically the keyboard will stop operating when it's operating voltage goes below 2.1V ~ 2.2V. The operating voltage difference between alkaline batteries and rechargeable batteries explain the limited usage time of rechargeable batteries, their start operating voltage is already much closer to the battery protection voltage level. This is against user expectation, for average end-user batteries are all the same and should work the same.
  B. - No battery low warning
Rechargeable batteries have a very steep (fast) discharge curve, in fact it's so fast that the battery low warnings may not even pop-up at all and the RF keyboard just stops working when operating voltage gets below the battery protection voltage level. This is very confusing for average end-user when no battery low warning pops-up before a RF keyboard stops working.
  C. - Unpredictable usage times
Recharging rechargeable batteries takes time, common fast recharges don't really recharge fully the batteries to it's full capacity. Only slow recharges will guarantee close to full battery capacity each time. Not fully recharged batteries will give unpredictable usage time of RF keyboard. One time perhaps 1 week other time perhaps 1 day, this is very confusing for average end-user.
14 Why is my wireless keyboard or mouse not working at all, I have changed new batteries and reset ID ?
You may follow instructions below step by step to eliminate possible causes if keyboard and mouse are not faulty.
1. Make sure that your batteries power are full or just replace with brand new ones and install them with correct polarity.
  2. If your mouse is optical, please check sensor light is on or not from the buttom of the mouse.
  3. Make sure ID pairing procedure you made is same as user manual, the LED on the receiver will falsh when keyboard pressing or mouse moving.
  4. If keyboard or mouse still doesn't function, removing batteries then try to keep typing to do discharge for 20 seconds at least. To do so may let device back to normal if it is not really break down by hardware.
5. After you tried all instructions above but still no help, please have an exchange or repair to the retailer you bought if it is still under warranty.
15. Why can some USB keyboards work with USB to PS/2 adapter but some not?
In a nutshell there are 2 ways for USB -> PS/2.
The 1st is a direct plug, but requires combo firmware, mouse/keyboard/receiver firmware will switch to using PS/2 if can't detect USB. A direct plug is electrically passive and only for signal pin conversion.

Needless to say if you use a direct plug on mouse/keyboard/receiver with no combo firmware it will fail. Also protocol detection could fail when another combo plug is used then the original.
So thumb rule for direct plugs, never use any other plug then the ones shipped with the HID devices.

The 2nd is a converter plug, this actually converts protocol and electrical interface by a chip. The chip will translate USB codes to PS/2 codes and handle all PS/2 timing. Things will fail when the chip can't map the codes or handle PS/2 timing for your system properly. The thumb rule for converter plugs, is try before you buy and don't count on that hot keys, office keys and battery status for wireless devices will be handled.

16. Why can't my computer be waken up by keyboard and mouse? How to disable Power-off key and Sleep key?
Opening items for keyboard and mouse in Control Panel, set "Allow to wake up this computer" in Power Management. To disable keys function of Power Off and Sleep on the keyboard, opening Power Management in Control Panel then set "Do Nothing" to both keys.
17. Why keyboard have no any response before booting to Microsoft Windows, then keyboard seems to work fine after entering Microsoft Windows?
Please enter motherboard BIOS and set item ˇ§USB Device Legacy Supportˇ¨ as Auto or Enable, to do so can enable USB keyboard under DOS mode.
18 Does shortcut key start specific program or action, like Web browser, Media Player, E-Mail, Messenger/SMS, Webcam and Scroll Wheel? Is there any thing need to notice?
Yes, all hot keys are re-programmable (except Volume up, Volume down and Mute).
They can be configured as a string, a combination key, a web site, an existing file, or a function the driver defined by default.
19 How do I know my warranty period and how to make registration for the product I bought ?
Regarding product registration, the most efficient method would be back to your dealer for service, they are the one who granted you the warranty. As Emprex doesn't do retail business, we sell products to wholesalers, dealers, and distributors. In the meantime, we grant them the warranty based on each transaction agreed by both parties. Mostly our distributors will collect and request RMA from us. This is the general situation we would like you to know.

Our RMA policy is arranged around the principle that we can take only drives back directly from the companies that we sell to. In turn, they should do the same to their customers. So the end users send back the defective drives to their dealers, the dealers return defective drives to their distributors, and the distributors who buy from us will deal with our RMA department to take care of their defective returns.
